Centre for Mental Health

Institute for Clinical Psychology

The Clinical Psychology Institute is part of the Centre for Mental Health. We supply psychiatry clinics of Stuttgart Clinical Centre/Klinikum Stuttgart and other clinics of Stuttgart Clinical Centre with psychological and psychotherapy services. The core functions of the institute include psychological diagnostics, individual and group psychotherapy, and supervision. A part of the staff works with case responsibility on the wards of the Centre's clinics. The institute also offers clinic and station-spanning treatment groups. Neuropsychological diagnosis will be also offered across the clinic. As part of a teaching outpatient department, we treat patients both, psyotherapeutically outpatient and via private consultation hours.

In addition, the institute is involved in training and further education of various professional groups. Thus, for example, psychological psychotherapist students may graduate here under the guidance and supervision of their “psychiatric stay”. But also the part of psychotherapeutic specialist training is mainly performed by the institute. Finally, the institute makes an important contribution to the development of psychiatric care.
