Interdisciplinary Centers

Further Interdisciplinary Centers

The possibilities of modern diagnostics with highly complex medical systems, new treatment methods and surgical techniques, medical knowledge as a whole are nowadays so manifold and complex that the subdivision of medical science into specialist disciplines became more and more common. However, in many cases of certain diseases it is not enough to treat the patient from the point of view of a specialist discipline. In order to choose an appropriate individual therapy or a reasonable combination of multiple therapies, the expertise of different specialists is needed.

That is why the Stuttgart Clinical Centre has specialists from different areas of expertise employed at a number of interdisciplinary medical centres cooperating with each other. It is not the area of expertise we place focus on it is the disease. Case conferences held on a regular basis concentrate on diagnostics and therapy and define the further procedure in accordance with evidence-based criteria. Pooled special knowledge leads to optimal treatment results.
