The Clinical Psychology Institute is part of the Centre for Mental Health of Stuttgart Hospital and structurally and organizationally intergrated with psychological services, to guarantee a high quality of psychological services.

The core functions of the Institute include (neuro-) psychological diagnostics, individual and group psychotherapy, and case and team supervision. A part of the staff works with case responsibility on the wards of the centre's clinics. The institute also offers clinic and station spanning, disorder-specific treatment groups. Neuropsychological diagnosis will be also offered across the clinic, not only for the centre's psychiatric clinics, but also for the Neurological Clinic of the Hospital.
