Clinic for Addiction Medicine and Addictive Behaviour

The Clinic for Addiction Medicine and Addictive Behaviour, offers clinical addiction medical care for the urban district of Stuttgart and partially for the surrounding region. In addition to the fully and partially inpatient area there are consultative, preventative, outpatient and rehabilitative treatment services. The highlight of clinical work is detoxification and motivation treatment of addictive drugs, alcohol and medication addicts. For this purpose there are highly specialized treatment areas such as the station for addiction crises (Station 6-1), the drug-detoxification and motivation station (DEMO) and the alcohol detoxification and motivation station (VAMOS) with a total of 62 beds available. The day hospital for addictive diseases (TANDEM) with 20 treatment places offers common treatment options for all substance-dependent people.

Other facilities of the clinic are the outpatient treatment centre, with the addiction counselling centre, the addiction outpatient department and the outpatient rehabilitation as well as the rehabilitation clinic for alcoholics and drug addicts (Turning Point) with 20 beds. The clinic co-operates among other things through membership in the Association for Drug Counselling Stuttgart closely with other addiction care authorities in Stuttgart, as well as addiction care facilities in the neighbouring region.
