The clinic treats patients with all general and visceral surgery diseases. The traditional large abdominal surgery is increasingly replaced by minimally invasive surgical procedures. In addition to liver and pancreas surgery, cancer operations on the stomach and intestines have a particularly high share of the range of operating services. The surgical treatment of gastroenterological patients takes place in collaboration with the Medical Clinic.

In 2008, we were awarded a certification as Intestine Centre while, in 2011, we are scheduled to receive a certification as Obesity Centre.
