The Department of Hand, Plastic and Microsurgery covers the full range of hand surgery and plastic reconstructive surgery in Stuttgart and nationally. The treatment of patients with severe hand injuries and infections is also one of the services like the treatment of chronic and degenerative diseases of the hand. In reconstructive surgery, we focus on modern free flap operations, such as anterolateral thigh flaps. These methods benefit patients with soft tissue defects after injury or infection. Arthroscopic techniques are applied in the treatment of wrist disorders.

Under the motto “beautiful and safe”, the Centre for Aesthetic Surgery at the Hospital of Stuttgart, managed by the Department of Hand, Plastic and Microsurgery, offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary range of aesthetic operations. They range from face-forehead lifts, eyelid surgery and other facial operations to liposuction, sweat gland suction and breast corrections. Stomach and limb lifting operations are also offered. This allows the Centre for Aesthetic Surgery to build a unique network of excellence. The participating head physicians and all treating physicians are renowned experts with many years of clinical experience.
