This clinic provides services involving diagnostics, therapy and long-term follow-up care for patients with congenital heart disorders – from newborn babies to adults (in co-operation with the cardiology department at the Katharinenhospital) in the Centre for Congenital Heart Defects.

In this context, the entire spectrum of interventional  cardiology and operative care is offered in co-operation with the cardiac-surgery clinic Sana Herzchirurgie Stuttgart (SHS). Additional area of emphasis are long-term care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias and for children who have undergone a heart transplant – along with the entire spectrum of paediatric intensive care – on the maximum-care level.

  • Minimally-invasive, modern diagnostics procedures such as 3-D echocardiography and cardio-MRI exams (in co-operation with the Radiological Institute at the Olgahospital)
  • Pacemaker implantation and follow-up treatment
  • Provision of care also to adults with congenital heart defects (EMAH Centre)
  • Complete spectrum of paediatric intensive care

  • Special-emphasis consultations for patients with Marfan syndrome and for children who have undergone heart transplants
  • Special-emphasis consultations for adults with congenital heart defects 
  • Functional diagnostics of the circulatory system in children and adolescents, incl. tilting-table exam
  • Pre-natal cardiological diagnostics and consultations in co-operation with the Women's Clinic
  • Pick-up service for severely ill children and adolescents requiring intensive care 
  • Co-operative interdisciplinary care for patients requiring chronic intensive care

  • Implantation of partially-biodegradeable occlusion systems
  • Complete care (cardiological, surgical and ICU treatment) of newborn babies affected by left-ventricular hypoplasia syndrome

  • Passagere organ-replacement therapy
