Paediatrics 1 includes the fields of paediatric neurology and the social paediatric centre (SPC). Paediatric neurology provides comprehensive care by experienced specialists for patients from a wide cross-regional catchment area. High-level diagnosis, therapy and long-term care are performed in an interdisciplinary network. The Social Paediatric Centre offers interdisciplinary diagnosis for children and adolescents with chronic diseases, development abnormalities, and for children with congenital or acquired disabilities. This allows the drawing of a promotion plan and the further monitoring and therapy. The team consists of paediatricians, neuro-paediatricians, clinical psychologists, therapists, educators, social worker and children's nurses.
