This clinic provides care to patients with disorders from all internistic disciplines. It offers all endoscopic (24-hour on-call duty) and sonographic diagnostics and interventional-therapeutic methods.

Specific procedures such as photo-dynamics, APC coagulation, mucosa resection or chromo-endoscopy are performed in high volume. In the specialty-related gastroenterological oncology department, all (neo)-adjuvant and palliative chemotherapies are offered for gastrointestinal tumours – including neuro-endocrine tumours and GIST. Decisions on the therapy to be pursued are made on an interdisciplinary basis, in the context of tumour conferences.

A further specialty is nutritional medicine, practised by an interdisciplinary team comprised of physicians, nutritionists and specialised nurses/caretakers. This clinic holds the full authorisation to conduct continuing education for certification in the specialties of gastroenterology, hepatology and infectiology.
