Neurological Clinic

The clinical spectrum includes the diagnosis and treatment of patients with neurological disorders of any origin. The electrophysiology and neuro-sonographic laboratories are equipped with modern diagnostics equipment. The clinic features a national stroke unit, which was expanded to twelve beds in 2010, an outpatient consulting department, a permanent neurological consultant at Katharinenhospital and beds at the interdisciplinary medical-neurological ICU. A neurological outpatient clinic completes the diagnostic and therapeutic spectrum with day-care treatment. The entire clinic offers consulting services. We have an authorization for ambulatory health care patients, who are assigned by neurological specialists and neurologists. The clinic has been approved to provide training on ultrasound diagnosis of cerebral arteries (DGKN and DEGUM) on EEG diagnosis and diagnostics using evoked potentials according to the guidelines of the German Society of Neurology (DGN) and the German Society of Neurophysiology (DGKN).
