Neurocentre

Neurosurgical Clinic

The spectrum of performance consists of surgical treatment of all disorders of the brain, spinal cord, the nerves in the arms and legs as well as the spine.

These include tumours (gliomas, meningeomas, metastases), vascular malformations (aneurysms, AV malformations, cavernomas), stenosis and closure of the cerebral arteries (bypass surgery), haemorrhage (brain haemorrhage, subdural haematoma, subarachnoidal haemorrhage), degenerative disorders of the cervical spine, thoracic spine and lumbar spine (herniated discs, spinal canal stenoses, spondyloistheses), cerebrospinal-fluid circulation disorders (hydrocephalus, cysts), head and spine injuries caused by accidents (spinal cord injuries, skull fractures and base of the skull fractures) neurosurgical diseases in children (hydrocephalus, skull deformations, spina bifida, tumours) as well as functional disorders of the brain e.g. motor function disorders (deep brain stimulation) and epileptic surgery (e.g. vagus nerve stimulation).
