The Opthalmology Clinic at the Katharinenhospital performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to treat eye ailments and serves the entire Greater Stuttgart area. More than half of our patients come to us from outside Stuttgart.

This clinic has an OR team on call around the clock to respond to emergencies and injuries – and performs an opthalmological consultation service for the other centres affiliated with the Klinikum Stuttgart. The Opthalmology Clinic's spectrum of services also encompasses outpatient consultations and treatment – including outpatient surgeries.

In addition, this clinic features various special-emphasis outpatient clinics such as an orthoptist's practise and an outpatient clinic for the visually-impaired which offers the fitting of magnifying corrective eyewear, contact-lens fitting (particularly for small children) following lens-removal surgery.
