The clinic is Germany’s largest non-university based department for maxillofacial surgery offering the full range and quality of tertiary care found at university hospitals.
One of our specialties is the operative reconstruction of the maxillary and mental bone architecture. Often the loss of adult teeth results in a significant reduction of bone mass that will impair the patient’s ability to chew and to speak. After bone reconstruction, implants restore functionality and the esthetical appearance of the face. We are further specialised in the treatment of patients with severe facial trauma, malignant tumour disease and congenital facial abnormalities, such as cleft palate. Other patients require a subtle correction of the jaw alignment or abnormality. Those sophisticated procedures are performed using the most advanced computer-, navigation and operating technologies. Our patients are diagnosed and treated in cooperation with numerous related disciplines, the Kopfzentrum (center for cranial medicine).
We offer esthetical facial surgery, such as the cautious removal of skin lesions, eyebrow and eyelid lifts, as well as neck and face lifts. The clinic offers a 24 emergency service. In 2009, the clinic was nominated as „Center of Excellence“ by the International Team for Implantology (ITI)
